I've been assimilated...a little.

We, including Stormy, have survived yet another hurricane here in NY. Many of our neighbors are without power and some have damage from water or trees but we did luck out at our house.

Stormy lashed to the porch during the hurricane force winds.

My husband has been to a zillion fire department calls since Monday but we're hoping they calm down soon.

I have joined the ranks of crazy writers for the National Novel Writing Month in November as HMGardner.

I don't expect to finish my book but I haven't been able to start the damn thing because I keep changing my mind about plots and characters and I'm not getting anywhere.

If I follow their rules and have to write a certain amount each day to hit a certain amount by the end of the month it just might spur me into a writing frenzy.

Then again, November is a really busy month and I might just have to scrap the whole damn thing.

At least I can say I tried.

Thank you so much for coming out to visit my special guest Nancy S. Thompson during her book tour for The Mistaken! Great turnout and great comments.

Well, I need to go. I should think about outlining my story or figure out where to take my kid to Trick or Treating when Halloween has been postponed here.

Hope you all have a great Halloween/Samhain!

  3. So glad you and Stormy and the rest of the family came through the hurricane all right.

Best of luck with NaNo... I'm like Alex. I hate to lose so usually the last two days of the month see me glued in front of the computer as I desperately try to think of enough words to get me limping across that 50k line.

  9. Glad you made it thru the hurricane all right. My sister and her family are in NJ. They're OK, but struggling w/o power.

  11. Really glad to hear that you are okay!! My sister is in Jersey, and another in PA, they got their power knocked out, but they're okay now too.

You sound like you're doing as well with Nano as I am. haha. I'm still in the plotting stages but I've written next to nothing.
