I'm on a crazy roller coaster.
I'm nervous. I'm elated. I'm freakin' out.
Rinse and repeat.
Yesterday, I entered the So You Think You Can Write contest from Harlequin.
Click here to check it out!
I have to give a BIG HUGE THANK YOU SHOUT OUT to my friend and fellow blogger, Nancy S. Thompson.
Last minute I begged for her help and she came through with flying colors.
Nancy and I have something awesome to share this Friday on my blog so make sure you come back to check it out.
There will be a public voting round on the contest from October 2-11.
I'll be pandering for votes during that time. :)
Everyone have a good weekend?
Anyone else going to enter the contest?
Anyone want to share their favorite relaxation methods before I lose it completely?

BYOT - Bring Your Own Tissues!
Hello again.
Wait...don't be frightened. It's just me posting a second time in one week. It's all right. Don't panic!
So, this post is kind of an extension of Alex J. Cavanaugh's Genre Favorites Blogfest from Monday.
I had a great time reading my fellow blogger's posts about their favorite music, book and movie genres.
One in particular stuck with me.
L. Diane Wolfe from the Spunk On A Stick blog wrote this...
Guilty Pleasure -
I love animals. So much I don’t eat them. For a guilty pleasure genre, I’ll have to go with animal movies. They suck me right in and yes, I cry like a sap when something bad happens. (Which is why my husband won’t let me watch one of my favorites, Born Free, because I cry through the whole thing.)
In my comment to her I mentioned that all women have a 'crying' movie. The one movie that we know will make us cry but we watch anyway cause we know we need ...well... a good cry.
I don't expect our male bloggers to understand.
Let's just say that after being complete control freaks most of the time, every now and then we just need to let it all go.
This, of course, means different things for different people.
Stress relief can take on many forms but sometimes big blubbery tears and a out of control runny nose can solve all your problems.
My go to movies?
Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning!
Do not click on these links if you do not want to cry today.

I know, right? Heart wrenching. But they get the job done.
So....share with me.
Do you have a 'crying' movie of your very own?

I feel like Where's Waldo! - Genre Favorites Blogfest List!
I'm back...again.
I know I'd be the first to tell any of you that had to put off blogging for a time that it was no big deal, life/family/work comes first.
It doesn't make me feel any better that I haven't been on here two or three times a week posting and visiting the way I should be.
I know I'm missing your comments and worse...I'm missing your posts!
Let's hope I can get my shit together soon.
I promised you some Disney photos and I will post them but...today is for Mr. Alex J. Cavanaugh.
That very special Ninja Captain has asked us once again to share and he has picked some awesome categories!
It's the Genre Favorites Blogfest!!!
Wow. Leave it to Alex to ask the tough questions.
I guess its best to just jump in somewhere...
Movies: ACTION!!!!
Guns. Explosions. Car Chases. Running. Fighting. More explosions. Really...who could ask for more?
Music: ROCK & ROLL
I've spoken before about my varied music background. I'll listen to just about any kind of music, yes, even Disco. But, I always come back to Rock. Classic Rock through Alternative and including Metal. It's always my favorite.
Books: IMPOSSIBLE
Asking me to pick a book genre is like asking me to pick my favorite kid (lucky I only have 1 kid!) or my favorite fall leaf or my favorite piece of chocolate! It's just not possible. It would actually be a shorter list to ask what I won't read.
Text books.
There. I've said it. Hate me if you want. Text books make me sleepy.
Guilty Pleasure: Okay. This was tough. Since I admit to reading everything, watching everything and listening to everything its hard to pick a guilty pleasure.
I guess what I could admit watching is 'so bad its good' comedy. I don't know what else to call it. It's just so bad you have to laugh. Like The Hangover or any movie with Jim Carrey or Will Ferrell. I don't want to laugh during them but I can't help myself.
So, there you have it.
Sorry this is so late. I hope to visit a few lists before bed. Thanks for always sticking with me even when I'm not around to stick with!

More caffeine may be necessary.
I'm so tired!
Brain dead.
There is no vacation when you're in Disney. There is no rest.
There is only go, go, eat, go, plan, go!
But, it was amazing.
I'm still working on the Disney post. So many photos to go through. Hopefully by the end of the week it will be up so please come back and visit.
Some pictures are already up on Facebook if you would like to visit my page.
Here's a funny photo for you though...
A guest was posing this little guy all over Epcot and taking his picture! Made me miss Stormy and almost wish I had brought him. He's really just too big and I wanted to make the trip about The Man and The Boy and not about Stormy.
Speaking of The Boy, he had his first football game this past weekend. Of course the rules for their games are wacky and I don't understand it all yet but apparently his team won 3-0! It was a blast to watch.
College football also started. Thank the UNIVERSE! Now we have a reason to look forward to Saturday!! WOO HOO!
I'll leave you today with this very funny Nathan Bransford blog post.
Did you all have a nice holiday weekend? (That's Labor Day for those of us in the US.)

Fridays are like...with Stormy the Weather Gnome.
We made it!
TGIF! Thanks Gnomes its Friday!
Thanks for hanging out with me this week. I'm betting the blog owner will have some fun and interesting stories to tell you next week. Well, I'm not betting anything I want to keep.
