Stormy's Bucket List
Q - Quiet Reflection
Q - Quiet Reflection
Thanks, Stormy, I've got this one.
I'm married to a volunteer firefighter.
My 'second' family is the fire department.
Most of my friends are first responders as well as some of my family.
It's impossible to understand why some people run away from danger while others run towards it but I'm thankful for what first responders do each and every day.
The bombing in Boston is just a horrible act of terror and my thoughts are with the victims and their families.
But, my heart is just broken into pieces for the families in West, Texas who have lost their loved ones in a terrible explosion.
At least 10 first responders lost their lives trying to save others.
May the love and support of your community, your state, and your country give you strength during this very difficult time.
This. Absolutely.
ReplyDeleteQuiet reflection...perfect.
ReplyDeleteRemember those who give everything they have for others.
ReplyDeleteFirst responders are definitely special people.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said.
ReplyDeleteThanks. We all need to remember those who put their lives on the line for the rest of us and sometimes lose their own...
ReplyDeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteThank you, friends.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate it.

Thank you for remembering those in West.
ReplyDeleteThe losses and sadness there are getting lost in the wake of Boston. The last I heard 12 deaths were confirmed with 60 people as yet unaccounted for and 160 injured.
West is 2-3 hours north of where I live.
It takes a special kind of person to run into a burning building rather than away from it. That's a kind of courage I greatly admire and suspect I don't, myself, have. Hopefully I will never have to find out.

Feeling the same pain here in CA.
ReplyDeleteThankfully it is A-Z Friday!
Thank you everyone.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad so many feel the same.
Carol, I felt the same way. First responders are heroes to me and I wanted to know every detail and couldn't get any info.
Heather
You certainly gave me something to reflect on.
ReplyDeleteFirst responders are the only true heroes left in world. Thanks for reminding us in your lovely post. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you. First responders are amazing.
ReplyDeletePrayers, lots and lots of prayers....
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Alex.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a firefighter's wife. They are very wonderful people.
