The Thing That Turned Me, an Anthology -- Mulder.

I believe I've mentioned I wrote a short story for an anthology that will be coming out in May of this year. I'm so honored to be a part of this project with all these amazing authors!

The Thing That Turned Me, an Anthology

Cover Reveal: May 1, 2016
A diverse group of authors, bloggers, speakers and editors has come together to bring you a unique collection of writings: “The Thing that Turned Me,” an anthology revolving around the people, places and things in our lives that ‘turn’ us, or cause us to change in some way.

A patchwork quilt of talent collaborates on this new and exciting project, inviting a singular synergy to the anthology that will leave you turning pages without delay. Works within the anthology range from Science Fiction and Fantasy to Creative Non-Fiction, and beyond. Poetry blends with prose in this variegated ensemble of stories, poems and essays.

“The Thing That Turned Me” will be available for paperback and ebook purchase on May 31, 2016.

I can't even fit all the amazing author names in this post, OVER 30, but you can head to the Facebook Event Page or the Stay Classy Publications website to check them all out!

Normally, when I talk about Mulder you guys know I'm referring to Fox Mulder from The X-Files, yet ... there is another.

My beautiful Mulder. We brought her, and her twin sister Scully, home in the summer of 1998. Stray kittens from a restaurant parking lot.

Mulder was so soft we called her 'puppy fur'. She loved to sleep in weird positions and on top of whatever she deemed 'in her way'.

We always figured if she could speak, she'd have a British accent and she'd order us around like the Queen.

She left us on St. Patrick's Day.

It's been just 3 months since we lost Squishy.

Mulder & Squishy

After 18 years together, my heart will never be whole again, but I wouldn't trade a day.

I'm not completely without furry friends. We are still holding tight to Scully and Ted.

Way back when...

Feeling a little nostalgic.

There is too much going on in my head right now and I can't focus on any new stuff.

The more I try, the more my brain re-focuses on old stuff that it knows very well. Like a constant. Something it can hold on to.

Almost 6 years ago I wrote my original blog post about trying to publish my first completed manuscript, Setting the Record Straight. My rock star book.

I've pulled it up on the computer [again] and started tinkering with it. Mostly because it's already written. I don't have to come up with new words.

But, it needs A LOT of editing. I'm pretty sure I've shared this with you all before.

Then yesterday I came across this picture....

I'm so in love.

This is with no doubt the lead from my book...Colin. It must be fate!

Now, if i can just focus on my re-focus, I might get something done.

#atozchallenge Challenge Theme? Elusive at best.

No, I didn't sign-up for the Theme Reveal today because I was sure I wouldn't have a theme ready to share with you.

And...I was mostly right.

I may have come up with a fun idea this morning, however, it was before my first cup of coffee, which makes it suspect.

Is it funny? Is it 26 letters worth of funny?

That remains to be seen.

So, to recap, we don't know much more than we did before, yet we now have something to think about.

Awesome!
