Stop me if you've heard this one...

2 strings walk into a bar. The bartender points his finger at them and says, "We don't serve your kind here." The 2 strings leave. Out on the sidewalk 1 string says to the other, "I've got an idea." He twists and turns and pulls at some threads making them go this way and that before he walks back into the bar. The bartender looks at him suspiciously and asks, "You're not a string, are you?" And the string replies, "No, I'm a frayed knot!"

Yuck, yuck, yuck!

Have I told you guys how much you all mean to me lately?

I just read a post from an author who mentions that she would never have made it as far as she has without the support of her online blog community.

And, I said to myself, self, that's exactly how I feel.

I know I've said it before but, thank you.

Thank you for the comments and the support and the great posts and the helping hands and everything that we all do together here to help each other. And, everything we do for each other on all our other social platforms as well.

It's really awesome.

Speaking of nice things to do, Christine Rains has her review of Maguire's Corner up on her blog today. So cool. Thank you, Christine!

Have you read her amazing 13th Floor series yet? You really should.

Don't forget, Maguire's Corner is on sale for just a few more days but only on Front Porch Romance!

I'm off...must type up all the handwritten pages I wrote the other day at McDonalds while my son tore up their playplace. Not quite as glam as J.K. Rowling in her English coffee shop but it's what I had to work with.

Did you have a nice weekend?

Brains missing...reward if found!

Remember back a while ago when I was an awesomely talented and incredibly confident writer?

Yeah, me neither.

I feel like a zombie!

BRAINSSSSSSSS!

I don't gotz none!

This week has passed me by and I'm not writing, I'm not posting, I'm not blogging and I'm not reading.

I'm like ... mortal!

Let's hope its temporary insanity!

I'm going to go find some brains, hopefully my own, and some coffee and get my shit in gear.

How are things with all of you?

The 13th Floor. Take a peek. At your own risk.

The 13th Floor Series by Christine Rains

There’s this building, in the city of Carmine, that has a special floor.

The 13th Floor.

Not just anyone can find this floor. In fact, the elevator doesn’t even have that button. Sometimes, the 13th Floor will help you and sometimes the 13th Floor does what’s best for you.

What makes it extra special are the tenants.

Apartment #1301 is Marc’s. He’s a Demon formerly known as The Grand Marquis. Everyone on the 13th Floor is under his care. He’s got this major league crush on Mae, who runs the coffee shop down the street. A chance encounter with another demon is about to spark a chain of events that will effect each and every one of his neighbors and could ruin any chance he has of being with Mae.

#1302 is Stefanie’s place, the Alpha Werewolf. She’s as tough as they come, but deep down, she aches for the pack that she used to lead. Big changes are heading her way, not all for the better. And, a lone-wolf named James is about to make her life much more interesting.

Be careful if you knock on #1303. Xan lives there. He’s a Dragonslayer. He’s a trained warrior and kind of a neat freak. He’s got a job to do but there’s a complication. Her name is Lois, a reporter with a keen eye and a caffeine addiction. If they stick together they might be surprised at what they can accomplish.

Meira resides in #1304. She’s a Harpy, a faithful servant of Zeus. Oh, and, a Shoe Fashion-ista. She’s about to face the biggest challenge of her whole existence, but she won’t face it alone. She has Sam, a good man and a hero. And, that’s exactly why the God of Thunder wants his soul.

Harriet and her two cats live in #1305. Her curse, each night she must suffer in the hideous form of a Banshee. Harriet’s in love with Kiral, the handsome Vampire, who lives in #1306. His curse, he’s tormented by his craving for blood laced with narcotics. If Kiral and Harriet can look past their weaknesses maybe they will both finally find their strengths, in each other.

There’s something else on the 13th Floor.

Someone else.

They’ve tried to help.

They’ve tried to make their presence known.

Maybe you’ve felt them.

A cold sensation that you thought was a draft.

A feeling of being watched when no one was there.

It’s time they were introduced.

It’s time to meet … The Ghost.

B&N

I HIGHLY recommend this whole series. I had a great time meeting all these characters and delving into their world. I loved the danger and excitement and especially the ROMANCE!

(I LOVE YOU, XAN!)

Thanks for joining us on your blog tour, Christine Rains!

We wish you the very best of luck!

Cover Reveal! - Carrie Butler's Courage!

Step right up folks.

Don't be shy.

It's gonna be worth it.

Trust me.

Title: COURAGE
Series: Mark of Nexus - Book 2
Author: Carrie Butler
Category: New Adult (NA)
Genre: Paranormal Romance (PNR)
Release: October 15, 2013
Formats: E-Book & Paperback

Making a deal with the bad guys wasn’t the highlight of Rena Collins’ semester, but, hey, it saved her boyfriend. Now, in order to appease the human-altering organization known as ERA, she’ll crawl under their microscope while they study the Mark of Nexus and plot their eye-glazed version of the future—until she realizes that’s not all they’re plotting.

Wallace Blake has always known his girlfriend is unlike most girls. But now that information has surfaced regarding the two bloodlines that balance his supernatural race, he finally understands why. Rena belongs to one of them. She’s been augmenting his power, all along...

Enter: Corynn Catley. Brought into the country under the guise of an internship, she’s intended to become ERA’s secret weapon. Kind of. Her abilities cancel out Wallace’s, rendering him powerless, but that’s exactly what he’s always wanted. Too bad it only works when his girlfriend’s not around.

All the while, Rena fails to notice the crush her geeky best friend, Aiden Ross, is nursing. He’d give anything for her to see him in a new light—even reinvent himself through questionable means—but there’s a reason people are told to be careful what they wish for. Finding the courage to tell her could put everyone’s lives in danger.

Wednesday Movie Quote and I need a cyber-smack!

Oh, Alex J. Cavanaugh, you sure know how to make a girl feel guilty. :)

I just had to post a Wednesday Movie Quote!

Especially when you said we could pick any movie we wanted!

Today's genre: Free-For-All!

The X-Files: Fight the Future

Mulder: "I'm the key figure in an on-going government charade, the plot to conceal the truth about the existence of extraterrestrials. It's a global conspiracy, actually, with key players in the highest levels of power, that reaches down into the lives of every man, woman, and child on this planet. (laughs) So, of course, no one believes me. I'm an annoyance to my superiors, a joke to my peers. They call me Spooky. Spooky Mulder, whose sister was abducted by aliens when he was just a kid and who now chases after little green men with a badge and a gun, shouting to the heavens or to anyone who will listen that the fix is in, that the sky is falling and when it hits it's gonna be the shit-storm of all time."

Some of the best dialogue I've ever heard was on The X-Files. Always smart and funny. The X-Files was considered a TV drama but it was really too funny for that.

The Wednesday Movie Quote is going on a short hiatus. Stay tuned.

As for the much needed cyber-smack!

I'm faking it.

I'm opening my book, I'm reading my book, I'm changing small things in my book.

What I'm not doing is WRITING in my book.

I've completely psyched myself out of writing book two.

All around me people are writing and submitting and publishing and writing and I just stare at the pages.

This is what I really need.

So, can you all just give me a virtual smack across the face so I can get back to writing?

Please?

Thank you.

P.S.: If you didn't get a chance to read yesterday's post about the 'FIVE things you should know about RIGHT now!' then go HERE!

It's about 4 awesome authors and ME!
