4-30-2017 #AtoZChallenge - Z is for The End. :)

Everything, Nothing & Stuff In-between -

Random stuff from my brain

Z is for The End.

Okay. I know. It doesn't start with the letter Z. I could spend an hour this morning coming up with a word for Z, but I figured I'd just wrap it up.

Thank you for spending time with me this month. It's been bittersweet since this will be my last A to Z as a co-host.

I appreciate the opportunity that Arlee and Alex gave me to join the team and I learned a lot while I was with them.

I've met lots of great people and done lots of things I never thought I'd do, like handle Twitter chats, write a newsletter, and manage a team of awesome minions and bloggers.

So, onwards and upwards! Stormy the Weather Gnome and I thank you!

4-29-2017 #AtoZChallenge - Y is for Yet!

Everything, Nothing & Stuff In-between -

Y is for Yet!

So, what haven't I talked about yet? What haven't I mentioned or shared or promoted yet? Well, let's see.

I am an author, but you knew that.

I am a wife and mother. Been with my husband for 20 years and my son is 11.

I am owned by pets! We have 2 cats, Scully and Ted, and 1 puppy, Klaus.

I'm also the owner of a plethora of gnomes. Still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :)

I'm an auxiliary member of our volunteer fire department which is just a fancy way of saying I bring coffee and bologna sandwiches to firefighters if they need me to.

I am now an admin with the Insecure Writers Support Group! If you haven't checked them out yet, you really should.

There's more, I'm a very interesting person, but that's what I'm sharing for now. :)

I appreciate you guys sticking with me through the Challenge.

One more letter to go!

4-28-2017 #AtoZChallenge - X is for Not What You Think! [Hint: Gnome in the WILD!]

Everything, Nothing & Stuff In-between -

Random stuff from my brain

X is for Not What You Think!

Some of you may have thought I would post about The X-Files today being that its my all time favorite TV show and I love everything about it!

Well, I'm not going to do that. Mostly.

In case you're interested ALL my A to Z posts in 2015 were about The X-Files and you can find those very informative posts full of pics and cool memorabilia right HERE!

I was VERY excited that the show was coming back on in 2016 and I re-watched every single episode and movie before the Season 10 / 6 episode extravaganza began!

I'm just as excited to hear that they are going to do it again...10 episodes for a Season 11 in late 2017 or early 2018!

But...

That's not what I chose for the Letter X.

This is my Letter X!

Xylophilous: attracted to wood :  growing or living in or on wood!

Stormy the Weather Gnome has gone native!

*****Don't forget if you want to win a book go read yesterday's POST!*****

V is for Vinny, My Cousin Vinny.

I was going to do Vices but apparently mine aren't immoral enough to write about. :)

So instead, let's talk about My Cousin Vinny.

Have you seen it? It's too good, right?

I laugh out loud every time I watch it.

Some of our best lines come from this movie!

Really, there are too many to put all in one post! :)

If you haven't seen it...I highly recommend it! We can all use a good laugh!

U is for Unspeakable.

I'm going to tell you a secret.

An embarrassing secret.

I can't say the word...Worcestershire. You know, like the sauce? Worcestershire sauce. Can't say it.

Thinks that's funny?

How about Anemone? Like a Sea Anemone? Looks easy enough, but when I try to say it, it doesn't come out right. At. All. :)

Do you have any words that you have trouble pronouncing?

4-22-2017 #AtoZChallenge - S is for Supernatural, the show.

Everything, Nothing & Stuff In-between -

Random stuff from my brain

S is for Supernatural, the show.

Yep. I watch it. There are quite a few shows that I watch that are like my hidden/secret obsessions/pleasures.

It doesn't hurt that they're both easy on the eyes.

The stories are fun, even when it's 'Good vs. Evil' just about all the time. There's some great humor and of course tons of drama. They certainly get their butts kicked, but they always manage to save the world.

One day, when I win the lottery and have all kinds of time on my hands, I will re-watch every show and count up how many times these two get knocked out. Their brains must be mush by now!

4-20-2017 #AtoZChallenge - Q is for Quint aka Robert Shaw.

Everything, Nothing & Stuff In-between -

Q is for Quint aka Robert Shaw.

I do love the movie Jaws.

I didn't see it in '75 because my parents would never have taken us kids to see a movie so frightening as a shark attacking people right near a beach.

I want to say it was maybe three or four years later before I ever saw it at home on VHS.

(For you young folks, they couldn't release the VHS version of a movie for a couple years as opposed to now when they release digital in just a few months.)

"Front, bow. Back, stern. If ya don't get it right, squirt, I throw your ass out the little round window on the side."

And it stuck with me. Not just the gory shark scenes, but Quint.

He was so awesome.

"So, eleven hundred men went into the water, three hundred sixteen men come out, and the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945.  Anyway... we delivered the bomb."

He can still give me goosebumps when he delivers that scene.

The movie and the cast were excellent. Mr. Shaw passed away just three years after this film released and would never know the success of Jaws or that it had such staying power. Quint will live on forever.

4-19-2017 #AtoZChallenge - P is for Pratt. Chris Pratt.

P is for Pratt. Chris Pratt.

I admit, I didn't know much about him until he got the Guardians of the Galaxy role.

One of the coolest guys in Hollywood right now.

Personally, I think he's doing a great job playing Peter Quill.

I can't blame him for taking the Jurassic World parts. It's good money and fun stunts.

Are you a Pratt fan?

Here is one of the latest trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2.

SO AWESOME!!!

4-18-2017 #AtoZChallenge - O is for Orange you glad I didn't say banana?!?!?!

Everything, Nothing & Stuff In-between -

O is for Orange you glad I didn't say banana?!?!?!

Bad jokes! We all love them.
Here's a few of my all time favorites!

***

Two cannibals are eating a clown … One says to the other, does this taste funny to you?

***

A Frenchman, an Englishman and a New Yorker are captured by cannibals.

The Chief says to the Frenchman, "We are going to kill you, eat you, and make a canoe out of your skin!" The Chief offers the Frenchman a last request. He asks for a large glass of wine and a cigar and then he is killed.

The Chief says to the Englishman, "We are going to kill you, eat you, and make a canoe out of your skin!" The Chief offers the Englishman a last request. He asks for a pint of ale and a cigarette and then he is killed.

The Chief says to the New Yorker, "We are going to kill you, eat you, and make a canoe out of your skin!" The Chief offers the New Yorker a last request. He asks for a fork.

The Chief says, "A fork?"

"Yes, a fork."

The New Yorker takes the fork and immediately starts stabbing himself over and over again while shouting, "Here's your f**king canoe!"

***

A string walks into a bar with a few friends and orders a beer. The bartender says, "I'm sorry, but we don't serve strings here."

The string goes back to his table. He ties himself in a loop and messes up the top of his hair. He walks back up to the bar and orders a beer.

The bartender squints at him and says, "Hey, aren't you a string?"

The string says, "Nope, I'm a frayed knot."

***

You know you groaned and then laughed!!!
