Some of us are recovering from a long, and hopefully happy, Thanksgiving weekend.
Some of us are recovering from some sort of surprise, jaw-dropping, episode of The Walking Dead. (I heard, I don't watch).
Some of us are saddened by the stupid unnecessary accidental death of Paul Walker. Stupid.
Some of us are just hoping to make it through this next month intact and of sound mind instead of crazed, bah-humbug lunatics with tinsel in our hair and spent shotgun shells at our feet leaving behind a path of death and destruction so horrific our poor brains can't comprehend it.
Yeah.
Breathe.

Awesome song to get us through the day!
Thanks for co-hosting this month!
ReplyDeleteReally tragic about Paul Walker. He was on his way to a charity event as well. I was just stunned when I heard the news Saturday night.
It's always sad when people die young. When we first heard about it, people were still saying it was a hoax. The next morning I saw it was confirmed. Very sad.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the togetherness reminder! :)
ReplyDeleteI decline all craziness... well, most of it, citing deadlines as an excuse. Yay. :D
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to hear of Paul Walker's tragedy. How sad for him and those who love him.
It really is sad, especially when it's an accident and no harm was intended.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in, guys.
Heather
The IWSG Facebook page really took off.
ReplyDeleteVery sad about Paul Walker.
Breathe. Cookies help with that. I'm married to a grinch. I decorated the house in spite of his bah-humbugs! Hope you're having a good Monday. :)
ReplyDeleteJust watched the latest Fast and Furious with my boys a few nights ago. They are really bummed. He was a young guy and it's not fair. Stupid is right.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to co-hosting with you tomorrow, Heather. :)
ReplyDeleteI see all these comments here and on FB saying how sad it is. But I agree with you - it was stupid. And it makes me MAD. But here is the only place I'll post my apparently-in-the-minority opinion. The driver was obviously speeding, ignoring the posted limit, and endangering anyone who may have been in the vicinity. It could easily have been another car that was wrecked or innocent pedestrians or even a child killed. And a friend of them says they are car lovers and they all like to go fast. Oh, really. Well, live by the sword, die by the sword. And people should be ashamed that there's such a big reaction to this because he's a celebrity. People die every day in auto accidents that aren't their fault. Why the big outpouring of sadness over someone who was illegal speeding on a public street for fun?
ReplyDeleteSucks about his death, haven't watched the walking dead yet, so we shall see.
ReplyDeleteAnd Walking Dead is getting pretty good. (Hubby makes me watch it, but he calls it Grateful Dead, ha,ha)
ReplyDeleteAnother crazy month! But come January, we'll be gagging on the eggnog and begging for quiet time to write! (OK, I will.)
