The awesome co-hosts for the May 2 posting of the IWSG are E.M.A. Timar, J. Q. Rose, C.Lee McKenzie, and Raimey Gallant!
Today’s optional question - It’s spring! Does this season inspire you to write more than others, or not?
Hi nice people! It's finally, actually, just-might-be, I hope so, SPRING in NY!
We literally had a snow shower on Monday and today it's 88 degrees. The kids were wearing layers to school Monday and today they were half naked!
No news on the publishing front. I'm having a friend read it over to make sure it doesn't suck too much before I try to send it out to a new list of agents/publishers.
Meanwhile...check out all the awesome IWSG News!!!
Mark July 19 on your calendar - it’s the next Twitter pitch - #IWSGPit.
Are Twitter pitch parties worth it? Do author get signed?
YES!
Dancing Lemur Press, L.L.C. signed Sherry Ellis and her book, Bubba and Squirt’s Big Dig to China, will be released on September 4th of this year.
So, get your pitch ready!
Today the IWSG has a special announcement - the release of its third anthology!
Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime
An Insecure Writer’s Support Group Anthology
The clock is ticking...
Can a dead child’s cross-stitch pendant find a missing nun? Is
revenge possible in just 48 minutes? Can a killer be stopped before the
rescuers are engulfed by a city ablaze? Who killed what the tide brought
in? Can a soliloquizing gumshoe stay out of jail?
Exploring the facets of time, eleven authors delve into mysteries and
crimes that linger in both dark corners and plain sight. Featuring the
talents of Gwen Gardner, Rebecca M. Douglass, Tara Tyler, S. R. Betler,
C.D. Gallant-King, Jemi Fraser, J. R. Ferguson, Yolanda Renée, C. Lee
McKenzie, Christine Clemetson, and Mary Aalgaard.
Hand-picked by a panel of agents and authors, these eleven tales will
take you on a thrilling ride into jeopardy and secrecy. Trail along,
find the clues, and stay out of danger. Time is wasting...

Snow to almost ninety? Now that is just nuts. All those naked kids...
ReplyDeleteThree anthologies now!
I've been in Maine for about a week and a half now, and I had to go out to buy a pair of shorts and a razor for this 80-degree weather. I was certainly not expecting that. But I hope that this marks the definite end of your winter—it's gone on entirely too long.
ReplyDeleteHope you get some good news on the publishing front soon!
And congrats to all those in the anthology—it's a great list of authors!
Spring is crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showcasing the anthology - I'm so excited to have it out in the world!
We got rain down here downstate on Monday (and it was cold!) and now it's 80 degrees, which is too hot for May, but at least it's sunny?
ReplyDeleteWe were cold Monday morning but certainly no snow. That's nuts.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned Shery's book - thank you!
Good luck with your submissions, Heather! And great to see another anthology from the group.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Heather! That's so funny. We had snow last week and it hit 85 degrees here, yesterday. Just insane! One second we're freezing and the next we're melting. Sending you positive vibes as you submit. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Jersey and I'm with you! The freaking weather!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for reminding me to get the Anthology!!!
Michigan was the same way. Snow up through April and then suddenly SUMMER!
ReplyDeleteThat's some crazy weather!
ReplyDeleteWoot on the new anthology!
