#IWSG - September is here! Wait. What? - Anthology Contest!!!

It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! Time to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who are feeling neurotic. If you’d like to join us, click on the tab above and sign up. We post the first Wednesday of every month. I encourage everyone to visit at least a dozen new blogs and leave a comment. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs.

The awesome co-hosts for the September 5 posting of the IWSG are Toi Thomas, T. Powell Coltrin, M.J. Fifield, and Tara Tyler!

September 5 optional question
- What publishing path are you considering/did you take, and why?

My apologies for the late post! I won't keep you long. Nothing new to report on the writing/publishing front. -- The BOY, aka my 12 year old, starts 8th grade tomorrow! Thank the UNIVERSE! I need a break! He's awesome, but a serious handful. -- It's hot in NY! We've been under heat advisories off and on for weeks now, but the way pumpkin spice is being advertised around here you'd think we were deep into October already. Fall is my favorite season too, but we get to keep summer until almost the end of the month, people! -- That's about it! Make sure you read to the end for some funny FB memes!!

  1. In my hometown in Maine, they had to cancel school on the first day because of the extreme heat. My family will probably come and visit because it'll be cooler in Florida. Hope y'all get a taste of actual autumn soon. :)

Love that teddy bear comic...and the Avengers 4/Princess Bride meme-thing is all too accurate.

  2. We're miserable here but not as bad as where you are.
    Enjoy your new freedom!
And that one about the card is all too true...

  4. I love the descriptions of the coffees. I love pumpkin spice, too, so I'm excited it's available now.

  5. I'm hoping our heat advisories are done for the summer over where I live. I do enjoy the summer, but not when the air is filled with smoke due to fires.

And yay for kids in school!

  6. Better late than never.
I love the posts. I needed a good laugh.

  7. I'm hoping the warm weather stays here in Michigan through the end of the month. I have a craft show then and last year it was like summer weather and I sold really well, so I'd like a repeat of that.

  8. I visited New York last month, and I must have spent at least a third of my food budget just on bottled water and cold sodas because it was so hot. I'm glad it's pumpkin spice latte season though; I just had one of those lattes this morning and it tasted soooo good. :) And I especially like that last picture with the "no-nonsense coffee guide".
