The awesome co-hosts for the September 1 posting of the IWSG are Rebecca Douglass, T. Powell Coltrin @Journaling Woman, Natalie Aguirre, Karen Lynn, and C. Lee McKenzie!
September 1 optional question - How do you define success as a writer? Is it holding your book in your hand? Having a short story published? Making a certain amount of income from your writing?
Every year there are some great success stories. You could be one of them.
See the #IWSGPit page for full details.
The IWSG Goodreads Book Club kicks off with two books to chose from this month – Parallels: Felix Was Here and Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime.
If you haven’t read them, there are some fantastic stories within!
The Teen is finally heading back to high school for his junior year. Peace will return to the home starting tomorrow. :)
Here are some funnies for you guys!
Most of our kids have been in school this past year, but in some areas of the state, they've been too paranoid and the kids will need six hours to get ready.
ReplyDeleteHi, Heather! First of all thank you for the much-needed jokes! The world has felt grim in the past few weeks. I am such an introvert; I so get that joke. Good luck to your son returning to school. I hope it goes very well for him. Kids have been through so much. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMost of our kids were in school last year though there were lots of disruptions with closings for a day or a week. Thanks for the laughs, and I will definitely be that ghost.
ReplyDeleteMy son started junior high this year, and it's a struggle for both of us to get up at 6:30. I still don't get why they don't start junior high and high school two hours later and let the teens get proper sleep. They're going to stay up late no matter what we say, and that two hours will give them valuable sleeping time so they can focus better. Sorry... my tired brain needed to rant a little! =P Hope it's all going well. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is why we can buy alcohol.
ReplyDeletethose were great, especially Stewie!
ReplyDeleteand yay for back to school, I secretly like being a math teacher, torturing students daily! muwahaha!
hope all is well on your writing front in this crazy world, it’s been too long!

ReplyDeleteHope the new school year is going well so far! I love the library card line. Though I'm so far gone, it hardly occurs to me to wonder. OF COURSE you have a library card!
