I can't stay long. I have 'real' work to do today and tomorrow. The kind that pays 'money'. I'm way behind.
Here's something to ponder...
I read an article about blogging. There was a list of things to do and not to do on your blog.
I think it's funny that someone would even create this list. Blogging is personal and not to be dictated by anyone. But, I digress.
On the list it said, don't write about what others have already written.
Huh?
How the hell would I know if someone else had already written about something I wanted to write about?
I'm supposed to Google my topics and thoughts before I write about them?
How exhausting.
And even if someone had written a blog about something I wanted to blog about, my opinion will be completely different than their opinion.
I thought that was kind of the point.
Anyway, ponder away at that while I talk about football!
The seven year old is about to start his second year of football. Three day Football Camp is this week followed by Strength and Conditioning training for July followed by the Regular Football Season in August.
This is great news. We had a great time last year and DJ really enjoyed it.
Last season I was editing the hell out of Maguire's Corner while sitting on the sidelines. I would print out pages to bring with me and work on them at practice.
Some of the parents thought I was a teacher correcting papers.
Little did I know that I would be 'published' and working on book two this year.
What is it that Ferris Bueller says?
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
Mini-Golf Fail. |
Hope you all had an enjoyable Father's Day! We took the husband to a fire department pancake breakfast then for a round of mini-golf. Made burgers on the grill for dinner and brownies w/ vanilla bean ice cream for dessert.
What did you do?
Is that not how you're supposed to play mini-golf? I guess that could explain why they always ask me to leave...
ReplyDeleteAnd "The kind that pays 'money'" <---hahahaha! That's where I'm off to this week, too.
If you only knew then where you would be now!
ReplyDeleteDon't blog what others are blogging? That would be impossible!
I wonder who thought up that little gem. If none of wrote about any topics that had already been done it would be pretty quiet around here.
ReplyDeleteI guess we can all stop writing blog posts then.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's how I play mini-golf. Doesn't everyone?
What an odd thing to say. I agree, how could you possibly avoid blogging about a topic that's been done before? It's all been done before, hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty exciting to see how much you've accomplished over the year. Yay you! :) Keep up the good work!
Excuse me, but I have to go blog about things I shouldn't blog about and football and minigolf. (I actually might have a brownie sundae!)
ReplyDeleteI like it when others blog about same topic. It's interesting to get other perspectives on it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your release! :)
I took my husband out for dinner and I mowed the lawn for him so he could relax on the weekend. Now I want a brownie. :)
