Snowboarding means
everything to Charlise, but she hasn’t met Sam Miller yet.
Charlise is a
snowboarder with a promising career ahead of her. Despite the fact that her
father hates her risking her life on the slopes that had taken the life of
Charlise’s mother she is determined not to give up her career the way her
mother did when she fell pregnant. Charlise wants to win medals, lots of them.
The last
distraction Charlise needs is the American freestyle champion, Sam Miller, who
utterly enthrals her with his wit and friendliness. Refusing to risk her career
for a relationship, Charlise returns home for Christmas, determined to sort
things out with her father. But the holidays culminate in an epic fight, and
with a repeat of the painful breakup with Sam. However, new discoveries from
her family’s past might change Charlise’s mind about Sam …

Sarah Foster at The Faux Fountain Pen is hosting the Muse Party Blogfest for her
musiversary today! There's still time to join!
At the last Blogfest, I brought Nigel Carruthers, my actual Muse.
But, today, I'm bringing my current fictional love, Bobby Maguire from my Maguire's Corner series. (Inspirational pics are of Taylor Kitsch)
1. Who did you bring to the party? Is he/she your
Valentine or anti-Valentine?
Assistant Chief of the Maguire’s Corner Police Department,
Robert “Bobby” Maguire, Jr. I wouldn’t mind him being my Valentine. We’ll see
how the night goes.
2. Which one of you is the more romantic person?
Bobby is WAY more romantic, but he uses his powers for evil instead
of good. In other words, he prefers relationships that last days instead of
weeks.
3. What gift are you giving to your (anti) Valentine?
If I could give Bobby a gift, it would probably be ammo. He
really enjoys target practice. And, I never share my chocolate.
4. Are you guys wearing red or pink (or black...)?
Black
5. Did you bring any Valentine's Day treats?
Of course! Never show up empty handed. We brought beer!
6. Name a song for our Love Playlist or Anti-Love
Playlist (or both)!
We really like that Say Something song by A Great Big World, but
the original single version.
7. Got a great anti/Valentine party game?
Bobby wants to teach everyone how to play the card game 99! It’s
a lot of fun, but we heard the hosts want to play Spin the Bottle!
8. Feeling the love or just feeling nauseous? How will
you have fun at the party?
I’m going to pick Bobby’s brains and find out what makes him
tick. After all, he’s the main character in book 3 and without him I’m stumped!
9. Has your muse been a good Valentine?
So far so good. : )
*Jordan's Bonus Question (feel free to ignore him...):
Did you bring me and Sarah a musiversary gift?
If I could bring Sarah and Jordan a gift it would be a combo of
time/motivation/support/self-confidence so Sarah can finish her book exactly
like she wants and get it out to the world so we can all enjoy it!

Aw, that's the nicest gift. We're trying to be more productive lately when it comes to writing. If Jordan continues to cooperate...
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming to my party!
I wish you the best of luck!

I love how the chair lift was added to the cover. Nice!
ReplyDeleteUmm *drools* can we share Bobby? ;P
I don't share chocolate or Bobby. Sorry.
Delete:)

I love that song, Say Something. This might be embarrassing to admit, but I listen to the Alex Preston version from that one year on American Idol. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would mind Bobby being my valentine, either.
And congrats, Bridie, on your new cover!
I'll have to check that version out.

I just heard that song on the radio this morning. Bobby would make someone a really hot Valentine.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good song.
DeleteHot is right. :)
HMG
Good answer for the bonus question. Can I change my gift to that too? ;)
ReplyDeleteWe should do a group gift!
DeleteHMG
Hmm, does Bobby have a twin brother? :) I don't usually like facial hair on a guy, but I'd be willing to make an exception for someone like him, teehee.
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too!

HMG
Yeah, I can totally see why Bobby would make a loooooooovely Valentine. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteWithout even trying. Right?

Goodness, I wouldn't mind Bobby being my valentine either ;). He sounds like an awesome muse!
ReplyDeleteHe has his moments!

He sounds like an incredibly distracting muse, somehow. Not that I would mind muse-sitting, if you need time to work.
ReplyDeleteVery kind and generous of you!

Oooh, Bobby. I want to learn more about him too! Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's pretty awesome.
