I know you've all been patiently waiting to hear that gnew gname for the gnew gnome, so I'm sharing it with you all today!
We've decided to name him ... Edelweiss.
Yes. Like the song from The Sound of Music.
Of course, the other Gnomes didn't like it and decided to call him ... Eiss Eiss Baby.
So, there you have it.
The Gnomes have spoken.

I'm so sorry about the misinformation with the Anthology. There have been some personal and technical issues with the publisher that have pushed back the release date again and again.
It's very disappointing for me, but I know it's also frustrating for you when I keep telling you that something is coming out and it doesn't. Please be patient.
I promise I won't mention it again until I have the purchase links in hand, so to speak.
Thank you.
HMG
Poor Edelweiss. He's never going to live that nickname down.
ReplyDeleteI've only mentioned the anthology once or twice earlier this year and won't again until it's live.
I had the song stuck in my head for hours!

When I saw the picture of the gnome the scene of Jack Black being tied up by gnomes in the Goosebumps movie flashed in my mind. Yes, I remember Edelweiss and it's funny but clever that his buddies want to call him Eiss Eiss baby instead.
ReplyDeleteThose pesky gnomes can never leave anything alone. :)

Edelweiss is a very noble name! He shouldn't listen to them.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your publication delays. It'll all be worth it when that book (or link) is in your hand.
I thought it was a good strong name. :)
DeleteThank you!

I like the name Edelweiss. It fits him. =)
ReplyDeleteTwice! I'll have to wrap his name tag around him! :)
DeleteHMG
Eiss Eiss baby is pretty cruel, but if he makes jokes about it himself, then it might be fun instead of upsetting.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The gnomes have yet to be nice. :)

I think it he should the others and call himself Edelweiss. Is he a mouse or a gnome?
ReplyDeleteDarn good question!
ReplyDelete:)

Sorry to hear about the anthology. I like the name, even though it wasn't mine--drat!
