Is that a light at the end of the tunnel?

Labor Day is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Hey! You, there! Hard worker. Do something nice for yourself today.

The BOY finally goes back to school tomorrow. YAY!!! 6th grade!

UPDATED: Today's 'Back to School' photo!

He's all set with his new FSU backpack, new FSU lunch bag, and new non-college affiliated school supplies.

He's actually excited, but he would never admit it. I can tell he's gotten bored and ready to do something new.

I'm also ready for him to do something new. Something out of the house. All day. :)

Now, if I can only keep up with his mountains of homework. :(

The BOY's football practices have been going great. The kids had their first game of the season yesterday and won!

What does all this mean?

It means I get to focus on other things beside The BOY and write more!

I have been writing in my notebook at football practices and now I have to get all that info into the computer.

I've been working on a timeline and trying to fill in the blanks, which is very unusual for me, but it's working so I'm not asking too many questions.

It may have something to do with Alex J. Cavanaugh. :)

Speaking of Alex, don't forget the IWSG posting day is this Wednesday!

Stuck for a topic? Here is this month's question: September 7 Question: How do you find the time to write in your busy day?

[Darn. I think I just answered that.]

ALSO: The group will be announcing the theme for this year's IWSG Anthology contest!

  1. You're right, the kids are usually bored by the end of the holidays, but looking forward to school is not something they'll ever admit! Ours actually went back in mid-August, so I'm back in a nice little writing routine now. Hope yours continues to go well. Stoked for the anthology announcement!

    1. Thank you, Nick!
I like the longer school year, but they don't do that in NY. Yet. :)

  3. Wow, I can't believe you're able to write during football practices! That takes commitment. I'd be too distracted.

I also have no idea how people with kids manage to fit in anything else. I have a hard enough time doing it with cats.
