Here are some more that I've collected!

Wipe in the Vaseline - The Eagles
Your big disc brakes - Queen
I'll never be your pizza burning - Rolling Stones
The Chair Is Not My Son - Michael Jackson
There's a bathroom on the right - CCR
She's got a tick in her eye - The Beatles
And the bakers gonna bake bake bake - Taylor Swift
Do you have any to add to the list?
Feel free to share!
Hi Heather - I'm sure I have ... and I know that I'd never get the lyrics right ... Peter Kay is very funny ... loved this video clip ... and of course now those are the words I'll hear ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteEveryone hears bathroom on the right!
ReplyDeleteIt's even funnier: I think he said "pork pie"!
ReplyDelete"Purple Haze": "'scuse me while I kiss this guy."
For years, I was positive that Laaaaaayyyyla was baaaaaabyyyy love. I've misunderstood more song lyrics than I've understood.

Ain't no woman like the one-eyed gott.
DeleteThat's me in the corner with a corndog!
ReplyDeleteOh wait! Our favorite, because we aren't sure if he's not REALLY saying this. Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light - "Wrapped up like a douche..."
ReplyDelete"revved up like a deuce"
DeleteI thought for years that it was wrapped up like a douche. At least I'm not alone.
'Call me Chuck Yeager now, call me Chuck Yeager now!"
ReplyDeleteFirst one that comes to mind is Lindsey Sterling's Shatter Me. In it it sounds like the singer is saying 'frozen bag of peas in me'. It's 'frozen by the fear in me'.
ReplyDeleteI thought of "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy," but John already posted it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat CCR one made me laugh.
Fun clip!
Oh, my! Crazy! A friend in high school thought a Beach Boy lyric said Captain Crunch where it said caps and plugs. It was one of the car songs. My daughter mistook many when she was young and often gave us a good laugh. Then she got older and read WAY above her level. Then she started using words she had only read before in conversation. She used them correctly, but very often would mispronounce them. That has kept us entertained up until lately. Now she has graduated high school with awards and accolades, but as she is starting to explore grownup life stuff she is keeping is laughing once again. Visit me @ Life & Faith in Caneyhead. 😉
