F*ck.
I got nothing.
Nothing for either of my two current books I should be working on either.
I am so blank. Blankety, blankety blank.
No words, no thoughts, no ideas, no plots = no romance.
I know it's just temporary. I know it will come back. Probably just burned out from the end of 2010.
Need a brain refresh and some iron supplements. STAT!
"Here, take a cookie. I promise, by the time you're done eating it, you'll feel right as rain." (Matrix)
So, I just need to keep moving forward and hope for the best.
If Carina Press is still working on time, even with all the holidays, I should be getting word within the next two weeks.
Really wish I had won that Mega Millions Jackpot so I had something to fall back on if I hear bad news.
It would be great if they sent me some feedback but we will just have to wait it out.
Anyone want to share an picture of their Christmas tree?
2010 Christmas Tree |
Nice tree. Had ornaments and a train and everything. Wow.
ReplyDeleteNice tree! Happy New Year! I hope your year is filled with bucket loads of good news.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote from the matrix, brilliant!
I so admire your patience. I drove myself crazy when I sent out my queries. I checked my email like every 30 minutes.
Suz - Too bad you didn't stop in to see it!
ReplyDeleteMurees - I got the first Matrix movie (the only good one, IMHO) on Blu-Ray for X-Mas. It was very cool.
Patience has turned to numbness after all this time. I can't dwell cause I'll make myself crazy. Thanks for the wishes! Good news and Happy New Year to you too!
Great tree. I didn't take any pics of mine this year. How strange of me, lol. I hope you hear something back soon. The waiting can drive one insane.
ReplyDeleteDonna - Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI don't do a lot of decorating so the tree is my one big focal point. It truly is a strange tradition but one that I really enjoy.
Thanks for stopping by.
Love your tree photo, the cat on the couch all the more.
ReplyDeleteOur holiday was somewhat muted with the flu and non-stop rain. Since we didn't remeber where our meagre decorations ended up in the move, we didn't even get to use those.
Sorry your holiday was soggy and sick. I do enjoy decorating the tree. I didn't even notice Squishy in the picture until you said there was a cat on the couch!
