Well...#amreading anyway.
I couldn't sleep last night. Woke up about 3:00 something. So, I pulled out my long neglected Maguire's Corner story and read through it.
It's only about 30,000 words and nowhere near finished but it's a good start. I still like it.
Sometimes I surprise myself.
It's been a while since I've looked at the story but I don't remember writing certain parts.
Shouldn't I remember?
What does that mean?
Hey! Hold your elderly jokes. I know I'm old.
Yeah, sometimes I walk into a room and stand there not remembering why I went in there.
Sometimes I read the same line in a book three times before it sinks in.
But you would think that I would be able to recall the damn words I put on a page.
Guess not.
Going to get some more coffee and ponder my next plot move while I try desperately to stay awake.
Any one have plans for the holiday weekend? Besides watching college football that is?
Crap, I walk into a room and forget why I'm there all the time! And yes, there are portions of my two books I don't remember writing. Weird.
ReplyDeleteNo you shouldn’t remember that’s when the muse is in full gear. My best writing comes through absent minded writing… that’s what writings all about, the more you can write in the “muse zone” the better off you’ll be!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I forgot an entire dialogue.
ReplyDeletenot much, too hot again.
ReplyDeleteworking on getting a query or 2 out =)

Alex - Glad I'm not the only one. It's kind of disturbing.
ReplyDeleteJeff - The muse zone. Trying to get that back.
Donna - I want to say 'that's good to hear' but I'm not sure it is! ;)
Tara - It's muggy around here. Supposed to get more rain. Queries are good!
