Insecure? Who's insecure? - IWSG

Not me!

I am still ridin' high off Stormy the Weather Gnome's wonderful and successful foray into the blogging world!

You guys were absolutely amazing. Thank you.

I will talk more about that on the 7th for the Reflections Post!

More importantly than living vicariously through a garden gnome is that I actually wrote in my current book during the Blogging from A to Z Challenge!

I swear by my pretty floral bonnet!

I did hand write in a notebook which means it ends up being less on the computer than it looks and my right hand is absolutely wrecked but I wrote over two thousand words!

That may not seem like much BUT considering what my average per week has been since the start of the year (0, add 0, carry the 0)...it's pretty damn good.

So, this month, I am NOT insecure. (That's okay, right Alex?)

I'm feeling pretty freakin' AWESOME.

I'll take it where I can get it!

How are you guys feeling?
Did you finish the challenge exhausted or full of vim and vigor?

  1. I hear ya on the cramped hand. I am handwriting mine and not sure if my fingers will ever be the same again. :) Congrats on finishing the Challenge and I loved the Daily Stormy Stories.

  2. I didn't do any writing during the A to Z, but I do feel recharged now. Felt good to be involved in something again.

  4. Is that the new math they are teaching these days? Ugh - I will never get used to it!

So glad you are writing again for your book! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!! I'm ready to edit! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THEM!

Do you get the hint? ;-)

    Love you,
    K.

  5. Congrats on finishing the A to Z. I did finish and I am exhausted and excited. And, super motivated for the next challenge. Who knew I could write on a deadline. HAHA. I also enjoy meeting new bloggers and being around all this creativity.

  6. And I swear by my pretty floral bonnet that any number of words written during the A to Z challenge is awesome.

And I say it's definitely okay to not be insecure this month. May all of us have that experience!

  7. I had a very hard time writing during the challenge. I'm not even sure why, I just had no inspiration. GREAT JOB, 2K!

Being secure this month is fabulous. And BTW-Stormy's adventures where AWESOME! Looking forward to your reflections post :)

  8. You are my sunshine on a cloudy day, my dear, I miss my Stormy and his daily weather reports.

I came out of the challenge charged and ready. Need to write an article and a poem for the library newsletter so I don't get to rest.

  9. Well we can't be insecure all the time! But it's nice to know there's someone to prop you up when you are:) 2000 words is an awesome accomplishment. And I do adore writing in a composition book - I sort of collect them. Funny post, thanks for sharing!

  10. Congratulations and 2000 words by hand sounds like a lot (and would definitely result in a sore hand for me ;))

  11. I love those months when I don't feel insecure. They help steady those when I am. I think those of us who do the IWSG need to read about writers who aren't insecure just as much as those that are.

Hey, congrats on the 2000 words!! I hand write my outlines which are around 100-120 pages, so I get the crampy hand thing. And hey, 2000 words is that much closer to the end, and nothing to sneeze at!

Thanks for the heads up about the new badge. I just grabbed mine, and I will be doing the reflections post, too!

  14. You are awesome! And if I had a gnome, I'd live vicariously through it as well.

  15. Gossip_Grl – Yeah. Too much damage from so many years of cracking knuckles and typing. Thank you. I’m glad you liked it!

    L. Diane Wolfe – Recharged is good. It does feel like a great community!

Tonja – Down? I’m sorry about that. I hope I do rub off a little! Write something. I bet you will feel better no matter what it is.

    K. – Met too. Math hard. I know. I know. You’ll have your pages soon, Woman!

sydneyaaliyah – I’m glad to hear you finished! Don’t miss Alex’s blogfest! I have a link above.

Karen – Yeah, sounds like so many need a break. Thank you!

M.J. – I knew you would get that reference! I was pretty happy about the writing too!

Kela – All your brain cells were centered on the challenge. That happened to me last year. This year it was easier! I’m glad you liked Stormy.

Suz – Sorry. You too can use weather.com! I’m glad you are charged. No rest for the wicked!

Lady Gwen – Thank you. I like any blank lined paper. Notebook, composition, legal pad. They all make me happy! Thanks for coming by!

Johanna – Thanks you. Yes. It’s very sore.

Nancy – Wow. Your outlines are long! I do feel pretty good but now I have to get back to it and not rest on my laurels or hardys!

Alex – Thank you. I was quite surprised myself. Mostly wrote that sitting in a car!

Anna – Thank you. Yes, it is more than 1! Glad I could get it done when I did.

    Thanks for coming by everyone!
