Normally, when I talk about Mulder you guys know I'm referring to Fox Mulder from The X-Files, yet ... there is another.
My beautiful Mulder. We brought her, and her twin sister Scully, home in the summer of 1998. Stray kittens from a restaurant parking lot.
Mulder was so soft we called her 'puppy fur'. She loved to sleep in weird positions and on top of whatever she deemed 'in her way'.
We always figured if she could speak, she'd have a British accent and she'd order us around like the Queen.
She left us on St. Patrick's Day.
It's been just 3 months since we lost Squishy.

After 18 years together, my heart will never be whole again, but I wouldn't trade a day.

I'm not completely without furry friends. We are still holding tight to Scully and Ted.

I'm talking about leaving comments for the Challenge over on the Main blog today...HERE.
When you come back on Friday, I hope there will be a Letter A post here for the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. I hope.

I'm sorry! Our furry friends don't live long enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Heather. That's so hard. My cats are 18 and 16, and like you, I wouldn't trade a day.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Mulder had 18 good years of a life that was possible all because of you. Scully is lucky to have been able to also share those years with her sister while gaining more family members in a happy home. May Mulder and Squishy both rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteShe had soulful eyes.

I miss all my grandcats who have gone to a better catpan in the sky.

Wonderful pictures Heather , I once had a dog for 16 years and a cat Tabitha who at the age of ten was diagnosed as a diabetic. I had to give her 2 shots daily, she kept going for another 4 years and it was a sorry day when I lost my furry friends.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Congrats on the anthology!
ReplyDeleteIt's tough losing a furry baby, but there's always lots of fond memories of them. =)
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your kitties. It's so sad but you gave them the best life you could, which is what an amazing pet owner does. You gave them all amazing names as well.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the anthology! I can't wait to read it!

Mulder looks like she lived a very happy and contented life along with her sibling and who could ever want more? It's also so nice that Scully has another cat to keep her company now that Mulder's gone. They bring so much into our lives and it is so hard when they leave but they do know how much you loved them and were there for them so hold on to those thoughts and be happy that you gave them so much too :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace a Stormy’s Sidekick minion
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to lose a beautiful friend. Glad you still have Scully and Ted.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss Heather. I don't have cats, but I have dogs and I know that pets are like family. Congratulations on the anthology. I just read your post on leaving comments and will work on leaving shorter sticky note comments. Now I need to learn to create my signature. Take care and again, I'm so sorry for the loss of Mulder. I will be traveling all day Friday, but will catch back up with you on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteHeather, I'm so thrilled that you're a part of this anthology. You've made an excellent contribution to it! Thanks for making mention of it on your blog today. You rock, sister!
