My black thumb turns greenish & InkSpell Publishing Author Cover Reveal for Kristy Centeno!

Yes. I'm aware that my last name is Gardner.

No. No gardening skills were provided to me upon receiving the name at the time of my marriage.

I've always had a black thumb. I even managed to kill a cactus.

But, my son enjoys plants, and I have a nice sittin' porch, so for the last few years we've filled some pots and tried to keep them from expiring.

This year we have replanted the gnome garden my son started at a library program a few years ago and we have some other pots going as well.

The Gnome Garden.

Proof of life.

Jurassic Pot

The BOY picked this out.

Hanging on the shed.
The Sittin' Porch.

I'm trying not to over-water everything and so far, so good.

During her darkest hour, will she find the courage to seek the light?

However, in the midst of accepting who she is, Marjorie has to come to terms with the fact that those she considered friends may be anything but, and the mother she thought dead may have been missing against her will.

A relationship in turmoil, a storm brewing in the distance, a shattered tranquility...will she find the courage to save her loved ones even if that means losing her humanity?

  1. Jurassic pot! Hilarious. Is that what the dinosaurs smoke?
    Congratulations to Kristy.

  2. I am a black-and-blue thumb myself, but I have managed to grow beautiful tiger lilies -- a freak accident I'm sure -- and my indoor viney plant has survived 2 months in my care. Cactus seems to be the only plant I haven't killed. Even the plants labelled "Hard To Kill" are no match for my rotten thumbs. I've killed them all...

  3. I've never tried to have any plants so I don't know what color thumb I have...Hopefully yours keep doing well!

  4. I don't tend to do well with gardens. Houseplants seem to go better for some reason (probably because I don't need to go outside to take care of them). I should show you a picture of my vegetable garden. It's so bad that when I get around to dealing with it, I'll need a machete. (But in unrelated good news, I have now justified buying a machete.)

Congratulations to Kristy! Love the cover!

    1. The cats eat any plant life I bring into the house, including pretty flowers from the husband.

  5. I have a brown thumb and yes, I've killed a cactus before. My new garden is really growing now though. Maybe we've both finally beaten the odds.

  6. I've killed a cactus too. My mom can grow anything and my dad gardens, but none of those skills passed to me.

  8. I have a black thumb, but I have to 'cause it's in the Goths manual. I dig the flowers in your "Hanging on the shed." photo--what kind are those?

Congrats and good luck, Kristy. Killer cover!

    1. Nice!
I don't remember the name. I'll have to get the tag from the pot and then I'll let you know.
