I am not a theme!

How do I let her treat me this way?

I am not just some theme for her Blogging from A to Z entries!

I'm a professional Weather Gnome.

I've had days of training!

I have degrees! Fahrenheit and Celsius!

I've had years of field work. In a big open field!

I am not to be treated like some everyday, no talent havin', bird poop acquiring, faded and poorly painted yard statuette.

My name is Stormy the Weather Gnome.

I am here rain or shine!

I am a beacon in the night!

I am rock-like molded resin-ish figurine ... in a sea of uncertainty!

I am garden art!

Hello my PEEPS!

The only part about Easter candy that I really like, besides all the chocolate rabbits and jelly beans, is the PEEPS!

Makes you want to run out and buy some PEEPS, doesn't it?

Me too!

Blogging from A to Z starts on April 1 2013!

Have you joined the Blog Blitz yet?

I'm off to find where I stashed my kid's candy for next weekend! Don't worry, I'll replace the PEEPS before Sunday!

Ninja Captain Alex'sTop Ten Movie Countdown Blogfest!!!

Ninja Captain Alex's
Top Ten Movie Countdown Blogfest!!!

Here’s the sitch

I tried, really tried, to come up with my Top Ten Movies and the only way to do it was to cheat my ass off and bundle movies into groups or decades.

Since I didn’t want to completely fail at this blogfest I had to change tactics.

So... this is a list of my Top Ten Movies that I get sucked into every time they're on the TV.

It’s so true!

If I see any of these gems in the channel guide I will immediately begin to watch them no matter what I was doing and no matter where in the film it might be!

It’s not my fault!

I'm only human.

Here they are...in no particular order...

***

The Day After Tomorrow

i, Robot

The Matrix

Jurassic Park

The Princess Bride

Forrest Gump

Aliens

Jaws

Independence Day

Speed

***

Awesome list, right?

Oh, come now, don't tell me that none of these ever sucked you into a TV black-hole where you found yourself standing in the living room, remote still in hand, totally needing to pee, watching one of these bad boys.

Just me?

Damn.

One last thing...my current favorite movie?

The Avengers.

What about you?

Thank you, Alex, for hosting another great blogfest!

Got Green Blogfest 2.0 - I was an Irish Band Groupie.

Today is Mark Koopman's Got Green Blogfest 2.0!

What Irish story will you be sharing today?

Click on the link above to read all the great stories!

Here's mine...

This is more of a magical Irish journey story than a St. Patrick’s story. I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s more interesting than corned beef.

Many years ago, shortly after high school, my girlfriend and I went on a grand adventure.

We went to see this cool band at a local theater and opening for them was a new band from Ireland. We had never heard of them but their music was awesome and it didn’t hurt that they were pretty cute.

After the show a few of them came out to the bar to have a drink or two. My girlfriend, who is much braver than I, went up to them to tell them how much we enjoyed the show.

The conversation continued, over beer, and they told us about their tour dates and asked if we would be interested in seeing them play again.

Needless to say…we did. First stop was a club in NYC, which was a blast. By the way, drinking Guinness with real Irish men, it’s a sporting event.

After we recovered, we realized that we were having a great time and decided to really follow the band around. We took time off from work and packed the car.

We followed them to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia. We ate with them, drank with them (a lot), and even stayed in the same hotels. We became groupies / roadies. We were on the guest list at each event and had our own VIP passes.

We had to go home after Virginia and they traveled to the West Coast for more tour dates. We were only able to see them in PA and NY a few more times before they headed home to Ireland and we never saw them in person again.

For us, it was an amazing adventure, a trip of a lifetime. One I will never forget about but, to be honest, I don’t recall too many of the details anymore.

I blame the Guinness.  :)

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Just a quickie or two!

Just a quick note today...

I won a prize! It was totally unexpected cause I suck at winning things!

I was on fellow blogger Christine Bell's blog and joined her contest for her new book...

Yesterday she tweets me saying that I won a Kindle Fire! I don't even know what that is but...awesome!

Thank you, Christine!

Gnome statistics and rodent fail.

So...according to some very complicated statistics (there were no real statistics taken) Stormy the Weather Gnome is TWO TIMES as popular as I am on the blog.

I don't know how to feel about that.

He's a Gnome.

Anyway...thanks for the great ideas for Stormy's Bucket List.

Here's another statistic. There seems to be a fair amount of people who want to throw him out of an airplane.

I don't know what to say about that either.

It's still snowing in NY today. The snow was coming down yesterday but it wasn't cold enough to stick. Until about 4:00 pm. Then it started to pile up.

But, it was supposed to stop or slow down overnight. Not. We have over six inches now and its still snowing.

Stupid groundhog.

On that note...

I better go start shoveling.

I'll post some pics on Facebook later!

Stormy says, "Wazzup?!" -- IWSG

Hello, my friends! It's me, Stormy the Weather Gnome!

I'm here to talk to you on Insecure Writer's Support Group day about the Blogging from A to Z Challenge.

There are only 25 days left until the challenge begins.

I'm getting nervous.

I have a theme, Stormy's Bucket List, but I haven't written any posts at all!

Then Heather reminded me that my posts are mostly pictures and she's got a ton of photos that none of you guys have seen yet!

Me at the beach.
Me at the lake.
Me playing softball.
Me at a parade.
Me visiting my family in NJ.

See! Lots of ME still to come!

I have quite a few items on my Bucket List but I could always use a few more ideas.

Is there anything that you guys would like to see me take on or experience first-hand?

Well, I better get my butt in serious gear.

How about you guys?
Did you sign up for the challenge?
