Sheesh!
What the heck is my problem? Oh, yeah. The BOY was home and we had that tree holiday and that rollover the calendar thing. Now I remember.
It was nice to have my two boys home for so long, but I was MORE than ready to send them back to work and school today.
What's that sound? Yep. Silence.
Up on the Warwick Valley Romance Author blog today is some shameless Heather self-promotion. You guys already know most of what I'm up to, but I thought I'd share. :)
Speaking of the tree holiday...here is the completed tree at our house before I pulled it down on Saturday. (It was really dry.)
On our way from one family house to the other, The HUSBAND got an EMS call. (Cause volunteer firefighter wasn't enough volunteering.) Down the street from the incident was a park, so I brought The BOY there to play while we waited.
This is how nice a day it was on Christmas in NY. We didn't even have coats with us.
One of my favorite gifts to The BOY! |
I got an FSU Gnome. |
We did go see the new Star Wars movie over the break. It was really good. Eerily similar to the original (my original), but not enough to change my mind about it.
As for the calendar rollover...
Honestly, I try not to live my life one year at a time, so to me, January is just when the calendar flips over. But, I thought these were funny.
This is me right now...
And finally a message from Alex J. Cavanaugh!

Very cool shirt. Sorry about the bowl game. There were some stinkers over the holidays.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding everyone about the IWSG.
And I haven't blogged since December 14 - got you beat!
You did beat me, but you at least told people you wouldn't be blogging. I just kind of abandoned the whole thing.

Wait, I thought I was the worst blogger ever!
ReplyDeleteYour tree's beautiful. I put a short strand of lights on my palm tree and called it good.
I thought the Star Wars movie was really good, too.
Here's to an awkward and sarcastic 2016!
Woot! As long as we are awkward together!
DeleteThank you, but I wouldn't mind seeing lights on a palm tree one year myself.

I couldn't wait to get my tree down this year either. I think my Christmas spirit gets more short lived every year. I was more keen for the New year than I was Christmas, although I think that was more wishful thinking now its here I'm pulling my hair out rushing to get everything done. "I WILL NOT FAIL" whispers "Yet." It looks like you had a nice Christmas and your tree looked lovely. Here's hoping this year is great for you too. :)
ReplyDeleteI tell you, if my son wasn't only 10, we might not have even had a tree this year.
Delete:)
You will not fail!

I love your sarcasm. You say so many thinks I only dare to think. I always can't wait to get the tree down but I left it up a few days longer this year because I think this might have been our last Christmas in this house.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Glad to share. :)
DeleteIf the tree hadn't been so dry, I might have left it up a little longer, but I get what you mean.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post very much Heather, many people missed blogging a few times.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
