Trick-or-Treat Book Blog Hop! #trickortreatreads

Happy Halloween!

First, a big thanks to Patricia Lynne for creating such a fun Hop for the holiday!

Trick

I have many Halloween memories, but mostly about the candy.

There was nothing like finally getting home and dumping your bucket or pillowcase full of tasty hard-earned loot out onto the carpet!

Then, your Dad would come over and take all his favorites before you could even hide them!

But, so many shiny, colorful packages of chocolate-y and sugar-y goodness would remain and you had to decide which one you were going to have first!

And quick, before your Mom came over and took it away while citing stomach-ache propaganda or worse...combined your haul with that of your two brothers into one big bowl!

The horror!

My son is terribly lucky. He's an only child. However, we do continue the 'stealing of his candy' tradition.

  1. Happy Halloween! I don't really have any memories of going trick or treating, as it's only got really popular in the UK in the last few years. But yes, the candy must be rationed. It's for their own good! I'd say my favourite is Cola Bottles, only because my kid doesn't like them, so she lets me have them.

Thanks for the lovely treats! I'd love a copy of Already Home as a mobi to mcwilfo(at)gmail(dot)com. Have a good one!

    1. I find that so interesting because the origins of Halloween are not in the US. :)

  2. Happy Halloween! I have to admit I don't really have any memories of trick-or-treating, it was not something we did as kids in jolly ole England. However, I have always loved sweet foam vampire fangs :)

Already Home would be awesome thank you, ePub, beren@dtwins.co.uk

May your haul of Halloween fun be huge :)

  6. Happy Halloween! Since I lived for a few years in the US, I had the chance to dress up on one occasion but that was it. We did buy lots of candy to eat between us (we were like 5 kids in the house). I LOVED Milky Ways. My mom got me a huge bag of those and never took em away. Thank halloweeness!

Thank you so much for participating in this event! I'd love a mobi file please, My email is melissa.rob168(at)gmail.com.

  8. I adored Rolos, since we didn't get them often on our own (although I preferred making an awesome costume to eating candy most years).

  11. My favorite candy. Well, it's hard to pick just one, but I love Mounds bars! I don't think my parents swiped any candy, but I always had to be careful with my older sister!

Since I used to own a coffee shop, I'll have to go with "Already Home," which I'd love to read as a pdf sent to tuisnider@gmail.com

Happy Halloween and thank you so much! :D
