Who else is excited for all the old TV shows returning and the new TV shows starting this month?
Just me?
Well, I am a child of the eighties. We do watch a LOT of TV.
Due to The HUSBAND's work/volunteer schedule and The BOY's school/sports schedule, we never get to watch shows on the same night they're actually on.
But, thanks to the invention of the DVR, we can watch them at our convenience AND never have to watch commercials!
Lucifer
The Big Bang Theory
Survivor
Elementary
Chicago PD/Fire/ER
Marvel Agents of SHIELD
The 100
Arrow
Supernatural
Flash
This is just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
There are a few new shows I'm going to try as well, like BULL, MacGuyver, & Conviction.
There are more, but I don't want to scare you guys away. :)
Anything you're looking forward to watching?

New Release & New Cover Reveal for M.S. Kaye!!
Welcome InkSpell Publishing author, M.S. Kaye!
I LOVE THESE COVERS!
About the Author:
The authors are very upset by this turn of events. Some of us are working together trying to salvage our stories. There was a lot of time and effort involved for these very talented authors.
I'm not sure what I want to do with mine at this point. I do want to get it out into the hands of my readers, but I'm not sure how to pull that off at the moment.
I'll let you guys know what's going on, when I figure it out myself. Thank you!

Prequel
of the Taken Series
Cover reveal!
Alec Kaden is the son of organized crime. But that’s not
what causes him to be cold, and anger to crawl up his spine. He trusts his
father’s judgment—his mother’s death in childbirth was his fault. Only one
person can calm the monster inside him, but he will not allow her to know him,
to see through him and find the darkness lurking behind his detachment. Will he
forever remain her invisible protector?
Will be released 11/15/16 by InkSpell

Endless as the Rain
Book 1 of the Taken
Series
For Adriane Graham,
the real question comes down to this: “Am I Alec Kaden’s guest…Or his
prisoner?”
If she’s a guest in the Kaden mansion, then it means Alec
has freed himself from his family ties to organized crime. It means he’s
telling the truth when he says he’s protecting Adriane from dangerous men and
they can shake off the shackles of haunted pasts.
…But…
If Adriane Graham is Alec Kaden’s prisoner, it means his
tenderness is simply a ruse to keep her under control; his kindness is just
poisoned hypocrisy. It means Alec is a cruel liar, and that somehow, by some
desperate way, she’s got to get out of this charming man’s well-guarded house
before it’s too late.
Is she Alec’s treasured guest? Or merely a pretty bird,
trapped in his gilded cage? The troubling questions pour like
fountains…flowing…
Endless as the Rain.

Starr Fall
Book One of the Starr Fall Series
By Kim Briggs
Release date: November 4, 2016
ISBN: 978-1-939590-94-7
____
On the run from the Organization, Starr never planned on falling in love.
Starr Bishop’s the complete
package. A perfect smile, brains to match, and a winning attitude. Boys want to
date her and girls want to be her. She’s the type of girl you want to
hate, if only she wasn’t so damn likable. But don’t worry, she’s not interested
in your boyfriend. Boys are one complication she can live without.
When the Organization decides
she’s not only the model student but the ideal assassin, Starr’ll need a lot
more than high test scores and extracurricular involvement to get herself out
of that commitment.
Dark, moody, and dead sexy
Christian Evergood is the last person she’d expect—or even want— to come to her
rescue. From opposite ends of Webster High’s social hierarchy, their lives collide in one electrifying moment.
Christian isn’t the Goth
loner he pretends to be, he’s
a part Cherokee, All-American boy who wants to be a hero, Starr’s hero. Christian makes Starr forget that
the Organization is after her, but nothing will stop the Organization from
collecting their top recruit.
By the way, the spot for junior
class president just became available.
____
About the Author:
Kim once smashed into a tree
while skiing. The accident led to a concussion, a cracked sternum, temporary
notoriety as a sixth grader returned from the dead, and the realization that
fictionalized accounts are way more interesting than just slipping on the ice.
An unhealthy obsession with
conspiracy theories combined with a love of travel and happily ever afters led
Kim to write her YA novel, Starr Fall, where a secret organization decides
Starr Bishop would make the ideal assassin. While in hiding, Starr meets dark, moody,
and dead sexy Christian Evergood. Cue the swoon worthy music. But it’s not all
happily ever afters for Kim, her NA novel, And Then He, explores the
dark and scary corners of the human psyche. Following a night of innocent
flirting with a handsome stranger, Tiffani finds herself in the midst of a
nightmare she can’t escape. And Then He is available now through Amazon
and other major book retailers. Starr Fall will debut November 2016 with
Inkspell Publishing.
When she’s not doing something
writerly, Kim can be found jumping into snow drifts with her three kids,
husband, and dog. She’s careful to avoid trees.

#IWSG - September IWSG Anthology Contest News!
It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! Time
to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who
are feeling neurotic.
Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh's awesome co-hosts today are C. Lee McKenzie, Rachel Pattison, Elizabeth Seckman, Stephanie Faris, Lori L MacLaughlin, and Elsie Amata!
Hi!
So, since I inadvertently half-assed-answered this month's IWSG question this past Monday, I'm just going to stick with the good stuff and copy/paste the new IWSG anthology contest info right here!
Last year’s contest was science fiction – parallel world/alternate history, and the result was Parallels: Felix Was Here. This year, we have a new theme and invite all members to submit.
Eligibility: Any member of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group is encouraged to enter – blogging or Facebook member. The story must be previously unpublished. Entry is free.
Word count: 5000-6000
Genre: Fantasy
Theme: Hero Lost. It could be about a hero turned villain, a villain's redemption, a hero's lack of confidence, a hero's lack of smarts, etc. It can be about any kind of hero including superheroes, mythological heroes, unexpected or unlikely heroes, or a whole new kind of hero. This theme has plenty of scope and we’re open to pretty much anything along these lines. No erotica, R-rated language, or graphic violence.
Deadline: November 1st 2016
How to enter: Send your polished, formatted, previously unpublished story to admin @ insecurewriterssupportgroup.com before the deadline passes. Please include your contact details and if you are part of the Blogging or Facebook IWSG group.
Judging: The IWSG admins will create a shortlist of the best stories. The shortlist will then be sent to our official judges.
Prizes: The winning stories will be edited and published by Freedom Fox Press next year in the IWSG anthology. Authors will receive royalties on books sold, both print and eBook. The top story will have the honor of giving the anthology its title.
We’re excited to see the creativity and enthusiasm that’s such a part of this group put into action. So don your creative caps and start writing. And spread the word!
Our amazing judges this year:
Elizabeth S. Craig
Richard Harland
Laura Maisano
Russell C. Connor
Dawn Frederick
Michelle L. Johnson
Ion Newcombe
Lynn Tincher
This sounds awesome and I'm really hoping to enter this year!

Is that a light at the end of the tunnel?
Labor Day is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American
workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions
workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our
country.
Hey! You, there! Hard worker. Do something nice for yourself today.
The BOY finally goes back to school tomorrow. YAY!!! 6th grade!
UPDATED: Today's 'Back to School' photo!
He's all set with his new FSU backpack, new FSU lunch bag, and new non-college affiliated school supplies.
He's actually excited, but he would never admit it. I can tell he's gotten bored and ready to do something new.
I'm also ready for him to do something new. Something out of the house. All day. :)
Now, if I can only keep up with his mountains of homework. :(
The BOY's football practices have been going great. The kids had their first game of the season yesterday and won!
What does all this mean?
It means I get to focus on other things beside The BOY and write more!
I have been writing in my notebook at football practices and now I have to get all that info into the computer.
I've been working on a timeline and trying to fill in the blanks, which is very unusual for me, but it's working so I'm not asking too many questions.
It may have something to do with Alex J. Cavanaugh. :)

[Darn. I think I just answered that.]
