Less sin, more fulfilling...

Hello, and welcome back to the norm.

I hope you enjoyed the Seven Day, Seven Deadly Sins Blogfest. I know I did.

And thanks to Antimony at Thoughts, Musings and Broken Promises for hosting such a fun event.

Writing the sins about cats in a shelter just seemed to manifest itself inside my head. Later it occurred to me that I could have written them all about one cranky cat working on their 'nine lives'. An idea for another day.

If you haven't checked out the other bloggers I have included a (stolen) list below. Impressive entries, one and all, and I have met some great new people!

A few days into the online class and my brain is already fried!

Ms. James mentions at the beginning that she hopes we are in love with our manuscripts because we will be seeing a lot of them.

So true.

I'm finding all kinds of things to clean up and fix each day.

The class is forum based so the other participants can leave comments and ask questions. It's nice to get different perspectives and ideas from other writers, some of which are published.

Last, but not least, I would like make one more blog recommendation today.

My mom, Suzanne, has begun to blog. (I'm a bad influence). She is very crafty and I mean that in the nicest way possible. She will be posting about her cards, scrap books, her poetry and such and you can find her at Suzi's Ice Box Art.

Feel free to go show her some love.

  1. What a nice daughter you are. I'll go check out your mother's blog.

  2. Your theme for the blogfest was the best!

  3. so will you pass on advice at a fraction of the cost?
you did a fantastic job on your sinful kitties!

  4. Similar to you I had an idea for a different way I could have handled the Blog Challenge pretty much as soon as my last one posted. My alternate being, an unscrupulous traveler with the ability to inspire the sins in those he meets.

  5. Hi Heather, I love your profile. Found you on Bryce's blog. Everyone did so great on the seven day seven sin thing. It always amazes me to see the depth in creativity each and every person possessed. We're all so different. Will check out your mom's blog. :)

  6. The craftiness comment is sheer wordsmith genius. I started following her today, thanks for the heads up.

  7. I've really enjoyed your cats HMG - and I'm intrigued by yours (and David's) alternate ideas. Maybe you can save them for the seven virtues!

Somehow it's harder to imagine a virtuous cat!

  8. Angela - Why thank you! I am pretty fabulous! Glad you went to go visit and came to see me too!

Alex - Thank you! That rocks that you said that!

Tara - If you play your cards right! I promise, no more cats for a while!

David - I do like unscrupulous. I do, I do!

Laila - Welcome. Thanks for coming. Really enjoyed that blogfest challenge and reading everyone's entries.

Robert - Thank you. She will love that.

Charity Girl - I agree. I might have to switch to dogs to find virtues!

Thanks everyone for coming by and commenting!

  9. Hi Heather! I'm new to your blog and missed the blogfest, but I went back and read your entries now and just loved them. So creative! I'll check out your mom's blog now, too. Nice to meet you! :)

  10. Julie - Thanks so much for coming by and leaving such a nice comment. I hope you will visit again.

  11. So glad you are finding Angela's class worthwhile. I know I did.

I'm off to visit your mom's blog!

  12. Liz - It is a great course so far. Just need to get my brain back in class learning form. Ugh. It's tough!

Thanks for visiting with the Suz. I know she will love it!
