Be still like vegetables.

Is it over yet?

Thank the UNIVERSE!

I need some down time. It's time to lay like broccoli.

I don't think I've stopped moving since my son's birthday.

Busy...busy...busy.

Go...go...go...

1 birthday, 2 Thanksgivings, 1 village tree lighting, 1 holiday parade and 1 leftover day.

All wonderful but all exhausting.

The Wallington 10th Anniversary Holiday Parade was new for us this year. Our volunteer fire department decked out one of the engines in holiday lights...

...and drove down to NJ to enter the night parade. It was nuts. Almost 3 hours watching every shape and size emergency vehicle dressed up in lights and decorations rolling down the street with sirens and holiday music blaring. If you ever hear about one of these near you I highly recommend it!

I have been writing but I find when I write by hand in my notebook not only does my hand cramp but I also skimp on the details. I don't finish sentences. I don't add background. I barely tag the dialogue. It's just plain lazy! Typing this stuff onto the computer is going to take a long, long time.

How was your holiday? Did you eat anything new and different this year? We could share recipes!

  1. Your holiday sounded amazing, as well as the parade. I tend to skimp on the details too when I write longhand, can we be blamed? Typing everything on the computer is so much easier.

    Have a great rest.

  3. One of the best parts about Christmas is the lights! I would totally go to a firefighter parade. That truck rocks.

I'm with you: I need some brocolli down-time!

  6. Lay like broccoli. I'm going to remember that phrase.
I write so slow my hand doesn't cramp...

  7. Murees - It is so much easier to type. I just hope I feel like putting the details in when I start to transfer!

DL - It was. Thanks so much.

Liz - It was so different than the stiff formal parades we do earlier in the year. They don't get to smile or wave and I think this was so much more fun!

Tara - I hope your weekend is fun too! I will have to add lots of time I think.

KarenG - I hear that. Need to cut back until the next holiday.

Alex - I stole it from Pretty Woman. I'm glad to hear your hands aren't damaged!

Have a great day and thanks for coming by everyone!
