Have I mentioned how awesome y'all are?

Wow. Just wow.

Monday was fan-bleepin'-tabulous!

You guys are the best!

The only problem with having such wonderful THRILLS to read from all of you is that we have to pick winners!

And....we will...on Friday! :)

Thank you so much for participating.

What else is going on you ask?

Yeah, that's an actual photo of our carnival from a few years ago.

The Warwick Fire Department hosts carnival every year at the beginning of summer.

It's fun cause you never know how many thunderstorms roll through an area in June until you stand outside in a big field under giant metal rides for four nights.

The WFD Auxiliary sells 50/50 tickets as a fundraiser each year. That's what I'll be doing for the next four evenings.

On Saturday night we have the big fireworks show. It's awesome. It really kicks off summer in our area.

Wanna come? Here's the info.

Yeah, I'm aware most of you don't live anywhere near me, but its still nice to be invited.

What else, you ask?

Well, Maguire's Corner is the 1st Chapter Spotlight on Storyfinds today. Crossing my fingers that it garners some interest from that site.

Today's genre: Superhero Films.

The Avengers

Steve Rogers: I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here.
Bruce Banner: I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him.
Thor: Have a care how you speak! Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard and he is my brother!
Natasha Romanoff: He killed eighty people in two days.
Thor: He's adopted.

I heard this comment had a huge 'parents of adopted children' backlash. I don't get people. I thought it was hilarious.

Next week: water movies.

That's about all I've got. Writing was painful this week and now it's gonna be slim for the rest of the week.

But, we shall prevail!

Don't forget the IWSG post is a week from today (July 3rd)! The three amigos, Nancy S. Thompson/Mark Koopmans/and I, will be co-hosting for Mr. Alex J. Cavanaugh for the day!

  1. I thought the line was hilarious.
Happy you are one of my co-hosts for July!

  2. Some people have to carry the whole political correctness to the nth degree, losing all sense of humor in the process. Pity them. I thought it was funny as hell :)

  3. I love that photo!

  4. Yeah, that is a great pic of an old school carnival.

(The one here in Hawaii is so dodgy that I won't go on any of the rides, let alone the kids :)

Congrats on a successful bloghop and good luck picking a winner:)

  5. The carnival sounds like a ton of fun! I'm completely jealous.

And people need to grow some thick skin. We are way too sensitive these days.

  6. That carnival looks far less sketchy than the ones around here!

  7. Best wishes.for Maguires Corner. Every bit of exposure helps. And who doesnt like a.good carnival!.

  8. I wish I could go to the carnival! It's looks awesome!
Thanks for hosting the hop! It's great. :) I'm catching up today because my internet was down yesterday. :(

  9. I used to LOVE the carnival in my hometown. They had a ride called the Zipper, and every year I had to beg my faint-hearted friends to ride it with me. Chickens! lol

  10. Alex - Me too! For both! Thanks for coming!

mshatch - I hear you. It was too funny.

Crowbar - I know, me too!

Mark - Thank you! Yeah, it was a pretty good shot!

Samantha - You can come! Or are you still in France? I agree. Way too sensitive.

Andrea - I guess we are pretty lucky then! Thanks for coming by!

Stephen - Thank you! I agree!

Rachel - There were some great entries! It was so much fun!

Lexa - I loved rides when I was younger. Now I feel like I'm gonna hurl!

    Thanks for coming everyone!
