Stormy's Bucket List
Q - Quiet Reflection

Thanks, Stormy, I've got this one.

I'm married to a volunteer firefighter.

My 'second' family is the fire department.

Most of my friends are first responders as well as some of my family.

It's impossible to understand why some people run away from danger while others run towards it but I'm thankful for what first responders do each and every day.

The bombing in Boston is just a horrible act of terror and my thoughts are with the victims and their families.

But, my heart is just broken into pieces for the families in West, Texas who have lost their loved ones in a terrible explosion.

At least 10 first responders lost their lives trying to save others.

May the love and support of your community, your state, and your country give you strength during this very difficult time.

  6. Thank you for remembering those in West.

The losses and sadness there are getting lost in the wake of Boston. The last I heard 12 deaths were confirmed with 60 people as yet unaccounted for and 160 injured.

West is 2-3 hours north of where I live.

  7. It takes a special kind of person to run into a burning building rather than away from it. That's a kind of courage I greatly admire and suspect I don't, myself, have. Hopefully I will never have to find out.

I'm glad so many feel the same.

Carol, I felt the same way. First responders are heroes to me and I wanted to know every detail and couldn't get any info.
